SALES POLICY
DEPOSITS:
Kid(s) may be reserved on a FIRST-COME basis by non-refundable deposit of $100 each. This deposit holds them in the care of the seller until weaning age and pickup by the buyer, at which time any remaining payment of the selling price is due in cash. Deposits are refundable in the event that a kid becomes irreparably ill, injured or demonstrates an undesirable defect, such as a teat spur or undescended testicle at the seller's farm. Pickups are scheduled by and at the discretion of the seller following weaning at 8-10 weeks of age. If pickup is delayed by the buyer for more than two weeks, a weekly charged of $50 will be added to the price of each animal. If buyer fails to collect their reserved kids, the deposit is forfeited.
REFUNDS: Capsand Creamery, LLC reserves the right to retain any animal from any pairing at any time for any reason. If a kid from a pairing becomes unavailable in this fashion, all money will be refunded to the buyer OR buyer may reserve/buy another goat with said funds. Capsand Creamery, LLC reserves the right to refuse sale to anyone for any reason
ALL SALES ARE FINAL: All animals are in good health and visible free of defects when they leave the farm. We are not responsible for an animal once it leaves our farm. We do not accept returns nor do we issue refunds, without a veterinarian’s report explicitly stating mismanagement by our farm. Buyer is responsible for any veterinary inspections, including those required to cross state lines with livestock, prior to purchase and at buyer’s expense.
Please be aware: moving to a new location is extremely stressful, especially for a young goat. Please be sure to transition over to any new feed slowly using provisions that may be provided to you by Capsand Creamery, LLC. Stress can also trigger elevated internal parasite levels, so monitor your new goat closely in case of parasite bloom due to stress.
RE-SALE: If you decide to re-sell the animal you have purchased from us, please contact Capsand Creamery, LLC for rights of first refusal.
NO GUARANTEES: Size, production, future health, scurs, show quality and looks cannot and will not be guaranteed.
GOAT REGISTRATION AND REGISTRATION APPLICATIONS PAPERS: Each goat that is sold as “registered” will be sold with a registration certificate or registration application papers. The buyer will need to pay fees for the registration transfer and application, per registry requirements. Section 1 of the ADGA registration application will be left unfilled to allow for buyer’s naming preference. Section 13 will also need to be completed by the buyer. Please carefully complete the application before submitting to the registry. Goats sold with a registration certificate cannot have their names changed.
MAINTENANCE: All kids will be dis-budded and tattooed, and wethers will be castrated before leaving our farm. If goats are over 4-weeks old, they will also have CD&T vaccination, and hoof trimming. Please follow the feeding instructions provided to you at the time of sale.
